American isn't "making" these idiots in Iraq strap bombs to themselves to blow up their fellow citizens. The only power anyone has in this world is to make a decision; yes or no, up or down, coffee or tea. While I won't say that American foriegn policy, actions or many other matters are "the best"- idealism doesn't fit reality, so our general (dare I call it middle ground) stance is about the best in terms of over-all freedom than anything else around.

Arguing over the low-level/fine point matters of a high-level/large scale issue is useless, and promotes no form of progress.

The basic issues at hand are these: Iraqi "nut bags" are killing one another, and the people aren't rising against the issue, and stopping it. We certainly can't do that for them, that's up to them. And if they haven't the courage, intestinal fortitude, or whatever you prefer to call it, then they deserve what they get.

The reality is that they require a leader that can unite them that isn't hell bent him or herself. A leader they identify with in thier own image, and likeness, and while we'd love to offer that - it's not our place in their minds to do so.

I'm really sick so seeing stories about these idiots killing each other over......over what again? At least in LA they have a rediculous goal of protecting their "turf", what are these people trying to accomplish?

It appears that "Piss on thy neighbor" is the accepted way of life over there. If it wern't, we'd see people standing up to stop this rediculousness.

I say leave them to their own mess. We can't help someone who doesn't want our help. If they want a civil way, let them. If they want tyrannical rule, then allow them to have it. I for one have had it with this foolish waste of time, and life.

The space program far outweighs this in it's global impact.

During the Iran/Iraq war the Shiia and Sunni fought side-by-side despite the predictions that the Shia of Iraq would fight with Iran against the Sunni of Iraq. The civil war is a dream of the Israeli government and if you will look at the patterns of history, the difference between the relative peace between shia and sunni in Iraq during Saddam and after the US invasion the factor of Israeli covert operations is key. The US torture techniques are described in detail in a 1977 London Times expose' on the Israeli torture of Palestinians. The same events that happen in the West Bank and Gaza started happening in Iraq only after the US invasion. it is very unlikely that this is a coincidence considering the neo-con influence in Washington and their allegiance to Israel. Before you start condemning me as Anti-Semitic, i am not making this up, or condemning anyone, just connecting the dots. If people don't want Israel to be criticized they should talk to Israel about not committing actions that can be criticized. Their own prime ministers knew Israel was never in danger of extermination by the Arabs, read Livia Rokach - Israel's Sacred Terrorism http://www.chss.montclair.edu/english/furr/essays/rokach.html
