Do we really have to put up with their policies? Are we so helpless? I don’t think so. Aussie’s voted Howard in again just as Americans did for Bush. The number of people who just sit things out is disgraceful. We can act. We can. But do we want to???????

I have long told people that they will get what they voted for.
Those who voted for Bush, Blair or Howard knew what they were getting themselves into but, they are too blinded by sports and celebs to actually give a shit.

I work with a woman who comes out with the most illogical nonsense I have ever hear. Her son is training to be an officer and she swears he won’t get killed because he has special training and he is going into service as a second looie!
She thinks and believes that her son will not get killed just because the IED’s will recognize him as an officer!!!
This woman is the type of person who worships Bush!! Stupid is!!!

I agree a thousand percent. I saw this coming when they stole the 2004 election and figured they’d all regret it.

And for those of us who are watchers of the Daily Show, it’s time to tell Stewart to quit being so damn conciliatory with the likes of Ashcroft, Trent Lott, Bill Kristol, et al. They are the enemy and all of them are bigger dicks than Tucker Carlson and Stewart ought to tell them this to their faces.

I’m getting very tired of seeing right-wing assholes treated with courtesy when they don’t hesitate to skewer progressives whenever they get the chance.

Get tough, Jon and stop auditioning for Letterman’s spot. You aren’t that much of a Viacom whore yet.

I read your editorial comments everyday, Jesse, but I’ve never commented on them before. This time, I just had to put in a word. You have reminded me of the tight ball of anger that I carry around inside and that has been really tearing me up for years now. You have very poignantly summarized for me just what has caused that anger to fester in me. Thanks, Jesse. I only hope we can find some relief soon. I sense that you don’t feel much cause for optimism. It’s a shame that so many people are blind to what’s going on.
