FYI, there's a drug that improves the memory of older people, extends the lifespan by 30%, improves the sex drive, only costs pennies per dose, and has no side effects, even at high doses.

It will never be approved in the US.

The reason is that it was discovered 40 years ago, and can't be patented, so no drug corporation can make a profit on it. The system for regulating drugs in the US is set up primarily to maintain and increase profits for the pharmaceutical corporations. If a drug won't create obscene profits for a corporation, it won't be approved no matter how much it can help people.

The drug is called centrophenoxine (also called meclophenoxate), and it reverses one of the causes of aging at the cellular level.

Centrophenoxine was one of the first nootropic, or "smart" drugs. It's been shown in many experiments over many years in many countries to improve memory in older individuals, both lab animals and humans.

Later it was found that centrophenoxine had a rejuvenating effect not just on brain cells, but on virtually all cells in the body. At least two experiments have shown it increases the life span of lab animals about 30%. Here's how it works.

As cells age, they accumulate a waste product called lipofuscin faster than they can get rid of it. Lipofuscin is the yellow-brown substance in age spots, where it accumulates in the skin. Lipofuscin also limits how long cells live by making them inefficient at one level, and killing them at a higher level. In very old individuals it comprises a significant percentage of a cell's mass.

Centrophenoxine is the only known drug that causes cells to excrete lipofuscin Older rats given centrophenoxine learn to run mazes as well as younger rats because their neurons function more efficiently when lipofuscin is removed. Likewise elderly humans perform better on memory tests after a course of centrophenoxine. Centrophenoxine doesn't appear to improve memory in younger individuals.

I've found that centrophenoxine also improves sex. After using it for a few months, my skin is softer and looks and feels younger. As lipofuscin is eliminated from organs like the brain and the heart, small amounts can lodge in the skin, causing a few age spots to appear after starting centrophenoxine.

It comes in 250 mg tablets and the recommended dose is two tablets, twice a day for one month. I suspect this dose is higher than necessary since I was able to get the same results from lower doses. I'd start with one table per day for two months, then 2-3 tablets per week after that. Centrophenoxine is non-toxic, even in very high doses, and is a prescription drug in Europe where it is used to improve brain function in patients suffering from alcoholism, brain damage, and aging.

It's cheap; about $25 for a bottle of tablets, since the patent ran out on it decades ago. This means more is known about it than newer drugs, and also that it will never be available in the US; it costs literally millions of dollars to get a drug approved in the US, and no US drug company can make a profit from it. It's easy and legal to order it from a European company for personal use.

You can find some information on centrophenoxine on search engines like Google, but I've found the most useful information on Medline, which has abstracts (summaries) of research published in peer-reviewed journals.

My last comment didn't go through. Check out Neil Gerardo's site on MRX. I did several articles for the Church of the Divine Lotus' blog. I think my post was blocked because I had several URLs.

This technology isolates the molecular frequency of a molecule, then creates a sympathetic vibration strong enough to destroy the molecule and nothing else, like an opera singer shattering crystal glass.

Invented in the early 1990's. Good stuff.

This got me thinking again. I had been participating in a distributed computing project ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org ), but now I think I may cut my losses and forget it. Why the hell should I add wear and tear to my computer, and add to my electric bill? To further enrich those greedy bastards?

I did a couple of articles on MRX on my site. Virtually can cure any disease, short of genetic disease.

I always wonder that too. I get annoyed every time I read about a new step forward in science. I'm constantly reading about promising drug or other treatment breakthroughs. But it never seems to come to anything, does it? Unless Big Pharma can milk it for every penny it's worth, that is. And sure as hell not if it actually cures anyone.
