I want to clear this up once and forever…the problems that can be caused by an early pull out of Iraq should not mask the problems that the invasion itself caused. Regardless of what our exit strategy is the real problems have already been created.
While the media try to tell you that an early pull out will embolden the enemy keep in mind that the enemy was created by the invasion itself!

Have you kept up with 4 years worth of news reports that included condemnations by the 9/11 Commission about how the Bush administration is not doing enough to protect us from the next 9/11? Well did you ever think that the reason that the Bush administration is not really paying close attention to this issue is because they know that events like 9/11 don’t happen without our cooperation? Did you ever think that maybe the Bush administration knows very well that the threat of such an event is unrealistic so they are not going to go through all of the motions just to pretend that they are protecting us?
Come on…if their mission was really to protect us don’t you think they would be protecting us? It is so painfully obvious that they are not protecting us from terrorism. They are in fact provoking & creating terrorism! If there was no threat of terrorism the Bush/PNAC team would be powerless and have nothing at all to offer to the people. That’s why 9/11 happened…it was for PNAC, not for Islam! As they wrote in their manifesto (PNAC), they needed a new Pearl Harbor. They did NOT write about how anyone would benefit from the elimination of terrorism.
Look no further than our own nuclear waste dumps where Bush eliminated the programs to monitor & safeguard them! Is anyone foolish enough to believe that someone would de-secure nuclear materials in our own nation if they were really trying to protect us? Come on! Get real! Think about it!

Not only am I contacting you, I would discuss issues with you in a public forum. The first thing I would say in public is to comment on the first words you chose to start your email with. Then, after we establish what a lowlife you are I will spank you with my knowledge of the facts.

I’ll give you a heads up…the fist thing I am going to ask you will be based on the names you called me, why you chose those names and what they mean. Where are all the pro-lifers and Church leaders when death sentences are handed out by courts and carried out by states? Don’t get me wrong, I am not “totally†opposed to the death penalty. For example if the day comes when Dick Cheney and his PNAC cabal are tried for invading Iraq and for their role in the events of 9/11 I will have no issues with continuing the American tradition of state sponsored killings.
What I do have a problem with is hypocrisy. If life is not to be taken then life is not to be taken. I mean some people are so crazy about their pro-life position that they would rather people suffer horribly through a painful death than take their own life in a painless dignified manner. These same people seem loudly silent however when human life is destroyed by their government. I won’t even get into the abortion or war issues; I will ask you only to look at the hypocrisy where it involves doctor assisted suicide and the death penalty.
Some people actually place the state over their God when it comes to taking life unless it is for a merciful cause. How scary is that? Think about it!
We have homeless hungry Americans living in the streets including veterans, global warming threatening life on earth, diseases and syndromes on the rise (today is World AIDS Day), an insane vice president hell bent on never ending global war, an administration hell bent on eliminating our civil rights and all government services designed to assist those in need. Through all this Congress, or I should say the Speaker of the House, is spending time addressing the non-issue of whether we should call the tree at the White House a Christmas tree or a holiday tree. I suppose they feel that little league baseball can handle their own steroid policies!
Every second spent on this issue by our Congress shows how little they care about the people of this nation and every second devoted to this issue by the news media shows how little real (vital) news they report.
Note to Congress: Christmas is supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus. According to Christianity all living beings are God’s creations. Maybe we should not be sawing down living trees to celebrate the birth of the tree’s creator! Maybe we should be taking the time to learn from the teachings of Jesus and the bible (and the teachings of other religions and holy books). Maybe we should be turning the other cheek, helping our fellow man, showing compassion for others, preserving life on Earth, making people smile…you know…things that make this world a better place for all! (Not a bad sentiment coming from an atheist…wouldn’t you say?)
Here is my solution, call the tree what it is…a murdered plant that was killed as part of the capitalist commercialization of religious holidays. The tree, along with the gifts placed under the tree has diluted the true meaning of the holiday itself and for many the good lessons to be learned from religion, like tolerance and compassion, have been replaced with intolerance and separatism. Keep your holiday or Christmas trees, keep your gifts and take this holiday season to act on the teachings of your religion that can help this world to be a better place for all. Now that’s the kind of religious sentiment that you can mix with government and end up with positive results for all. You don’t have to believe in God to believe in good! OK…problem solved, now get back to work! Think about it!
