New Orleans, Lebanon

The great and powerful United States of America could not evacuate a single city prior to a natural disaster. We could not even evacuate them after the disaster took place. Yet we are told that dropping leaflets on a city was sufficient warning and preparation to prevent civilians from being murdered by an intentional military assault. Are you as outraged as I am? Think about it!

I share your sense of outrage Jesse!

To me you are being “kind” with your description. It is one thing for us to accept that “dropping leaflets on a city was sufficient warning and preparation to prevent civilians from being murdered by an intentional military assault”. It is another to know that the dropping of leaflets took place only AFTER all exit roads have been destroyed, and international criticism began to mount against the IDF actions in Southern Lebanon. CNN reported that IDF claimed that who remained there after the leaflets were dropped were Hezbollah “sympathizers”. There was no debate of this claim. It was stated and followed as if it is the truth. To me it is outrageous that Anderson Cooper and his likes of American journalists won’t even debate such claim, or bring the “Hezbollah side” of the argument!. First, many non-US websites and TV channels (such as Al-Jazeerah) showed the elderly who were there and escaped the slaughter! Second, so what if one is a Hezbollah “sympathizer”, is this a crime deserving of trial, death sentence, and execution simultaneously?

CNN is no longer on the list of “tune to” channels. I used to think they have some “objectivity”. If they did, they certainly lost it all starting July 12, 2006.

Peace=Justice, and there is no justice without the truth! Think about that one :)

I am sick with rage, and broken hearted at the same time.
If you read my post from last week, you will see how close I am to having a “Prozac Moment”!
I swear to god, somtimes I think I’m channeling Sam Kennison.
And my family was planning an “Intervention”, for Pete sake (honestly)!
So please don’t feel alone, Jess, because most decent people ARE outraged, and I for one (and for what it’s worth) have your back.
