Olbermann on the Best Way to Support Our Troops

Try not to mist up during this clip of two young boys being surprised at their Virginia elementary school by their father, Lt. Thomas Bourne. As Keith Olbermann opines, the best way to support our troops is to “make sure that that kind of homecoming is what each of them and their families have earned.”

Watch the clip at the link.

I happened to catch that story.

The thing that gets me is how duty-filled Lt. Bourne to his country, and how irresponsible his command-in-chief is to him.

saw this story and how it points to one of the starkest realities of a nation at war...............the effect it has on not just the soldiers but also the ripple effect of emotion that hits thier loved ones.

we kinda have the same thing goin on in my home. my wifes brother is somewhere north of baghdad on his 2nd 1yr tour in the last 3yrs. his wife, son and daughter are in germany waiting and hoping for his safe return.

probanly at some point today at my inlaws we'll be passing the phone around as we all get the chance to say hello and wish him and his fellow soldiers a safe and happy thanksgiving.

i just hope i'll be able to keep from becoming nauseated when the no-doubt-forthcoming-faux-troop-support-photo-op of one of the bushicons appears on the msm in a heavily scripted line of horseshit designed to make themselves look good. 1stclips will no doubt appear on foxnoise channel..................i'll then be asking my mother inlaw where the rolaids are.

that aside though here's wishing everyone here the happiest of thanksgivings. so lookinmg forward to the next 5 days off to recharge my well drained batteries.

and my green bay packers kickoff on tv at 12:30...........GO PACK!!!!!

and monday is the 1st day of whitetail buck season here in pa, a state holiday. i'm pumped!
