More Limbaugh theology: "The religious left in this country hates and despises the God of Christianity and Catholicism"

Nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh claimed that "the religious left ... hates and despises the God of Christianity." Limbaugh has previously asserted that "The left is scared to death of God," "Liberals consider themselves more powerful than God," and that liberals are "soulless" because "souls come from God."

From the April 27 edition of The Rush Limbaugh Show:

LIMBAUGH: I would submit to you that people on the left are religious, too. Their God is just different. The left has a different God. There's a religious left in this country.

And, the religious left in this country hates and despises the God of Christianity and Catholicism and whatever else. They despise it because they fear it, because it's a threat, because that God has moral absolutes. That God has right and wrong, that God doesn't deal in nuance, that God doesn't deal in gray area, that God says, "This is right and that is wrong."

Perhaps it's time to use the same tactics against the fundamentalists as they use against everyone else: hit them iin the pocket.

People like Rush L. get famous and rich because sponsors are willing to advertize on his show because of the aalleged large audiences. If it were not for the businesses that run the ads, Rush and many others, would fade away.

My suggestion would be a web site dedicated to monitor right wing fundamentalists who preach the same garbage as Rush does, list the supporting advertisers, and ask that their products be boycotted along with listing an email address for each company to send a letter of protest.

Additionally, any religious group that "preaches" politics from the pulpit should be listed and a letter of protest to elected representatives to voice that we do not want our tax dollars to support those organizations who cross the line between church and state to remove their "tax exempt" status.

The hard right fundamentalists only achieve what they do because of financial support..either thru tax relief or advertisers. Once they start feeling the pain, member contributions won't be enough to sustain their drive.

Or, maybe we could have a section here in this forum where we could post the name of any company that was heard advertizing on these shows? It's time to fight back before it's too late.

At this time there is one more place religion at least gets funding--our tax dollars. Tax monies sent to churches without them having to be accountable.

We have many churches in this area that tell people how to vote. Bush has been buying votes since he went into politics.

But I like your idea of a 'clearing house' to let us know what products are supporting hate radio. Are there any available now?
