In Nigeria, 100 people have reportedly been killed and thousands displaced in fighting sparked by continuing protests against cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. The BBC is reporting that groups of Christians wielding clubs and machetes rampaged through northern communities Wednesday attacking any members of the Muslim community they could find. Police officials reported that 11,000 people, mostly Muslims from the north, have fled their homes in fear of the violence.

The truth is finally coming out. Religion breeds hatred and cartoons sparked this hatred. Now factions are rising up against each other. Was this the real intention of these cartoons? To provoke a two way conflict between the peoples, so as to stir up the pot? Doesn't take much for hatred to rear it's ugliness in the name of this savior or that prophet does it. I think these men we call god's would be disgusted by the things people do in their names. One more example of why we must rise above this petty animalistic belief system we're herded into.

Oh you foolish sheeple. All for the sake of your insecurities and fears.

Completely sane world

An ability to see both sides of a question
one of the marks of a mature mind

People don't choose to be dishonest
the choice chooses them

Now I know how Kusinich feels.
