Previously, a few ideas unrelated to the topic were brought up in different threads. Being 'saved' in the "Athiest who fought the pledge" thread, and bible contradictions in the "ghost" thread were two. ...I thought people might want to discuss them further. ...

The Bible does not contradict itself. Take the first four books of the New Testament - Matt. - Mark - Luke and John. Four desiples who witnessed the same event. Each gave their own version.
No contradiction - confirmation that it did happen through the eyes of four different men. ... I think you posted so called contradiction's by different people who witnessed same event. Again going back to interpretation.
I thought a few more quotes from the bible were in order:
Quote:
"For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever." (Jeremiah 3:12)
"Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever." (Jeremiah 17:4)
We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)
"But anyone who says 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." (Jesus) Mat 5:22
"You fools!" (Jesus) Luke 11:40
"You blind fools!" (Jesus) Mat 23:17
"How foolish you are" (Jesus) Luke 24:25
"But God said to him, 'You fool!' " (Jesus) Luke 12:20

Was the first exaple, in particular, not written by the same person (Jeremiah), and therefore a contradiction?
