There is TROUBLE BREWING for those elderly and/or disabled current Medicaid recipients under the new MMA (Medicare Modernization Act), which takes effect January 1, 2006.

extensive information that the general public needs to be more aware of. I don't think they can see past the rosy picture of their prescription drugs being paid for by Medicare if they're eligible. That aspect of the MMA is good, but it contains some other "loopholes" that are disastrous for those elderly and/or disabled who are not candidates for nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
Please help me get the word out....my own elderly, disabled mother, among thousands of others like her, is going to be a likely victim of this outrageous Act.
