from vaca '06. actually we played it safe and made the decision to return on thursday instead of waiting till this morning like our original plans called for.

after seeing how the east coast and counties of eastern n.c. recieved over 8-12 inches of total rain we were glad we decided to get the hell outta dodge.

still though, we had some nice weather for the 1st part of the trip through wednesday afternoon so at least the entire week wasn't a total loss. my 3 yr old son had a ball and that's about all i really cared about anyway.

anyway i'm back.

who is this frickin moron buckshot or as i casually renamed him in a post earlier as..........suckshot?

Welcome back, rooster! Glad you had a good time and made it back safely. We were concerned earlier that Ernie might try to turn westward and hit my part of NC, like Opal did ten years ago. But we dodged the bullet this time. Still we got a few rain bands, but we needed it.

It is cooler, though, and that is great.

Catherine

Thanks loads Ernie. Two days of solid rain and wind with a leaky roof wasn't a fun time. Took me off line for a week, and I might not be back full time yet.

No water in the pipes, but it comes through the ceiling.

Where is that blue emoticon.....
