I just got done seeing Cindy Sheehan speak here in Syracuse. It was a really great event and surprisingly there were no protesters. I even got to ask a question! woop!

GREAT! What did you ask and what was Cindy's answer? Were there lots of people present? What was the mood of the crowd?

i think the lady is an awsome human being.

i can feel the pain she has over the loss of her son. obviously way too high of a price to pay in the ultimate sacrifice for this nation only to find out that precious currency was spent on the cheapest form of hypocricsy and outright lies.

her battle is my battle.

Were there many people there? Amy Goodman came to Buffalo but I never heard how the reception was. How was it for Cindy Sheehan?

Well, (there was a professor also with her who was speaking about the militarization of our culture) and I asked if the government has an interest in keeping us economically and socially disadvantaged in order to 1) make us easier to militarize and 2) Stifle activism.

And the answer was a resounding yes. The professor spoke about recruiters and techniques and the relationship between access to higher education and militarization of our society.

The Hendricks chapel was packed full and Cindy received a few standing ovations.
