The problem with news like this is that it doesn't lead to much extra thought about sweatshop practices by businesses like Gap, Inc.
We were in one today, trying to use of the kid's gift card, and there were a number of people trying to buy-up their clothes.
Gap does put on a good face, though, with campaigns like "Color Red" (where portions of sales for certain clothes go to AIDS causes in Africa). But they still got a long way to go with using the sweatshop labor and
"... genetically engineered and pesticide laden cotton".
