I know this post is only good for three hours but I thought that maybe someone would be interested in watching the Valerie Plame testimony from 03.16.07. It's on CSPAN2 right now if you care to view and/or listen to the dialog. I'm in Colorado (-7 MST) and it's 6:00 P here and this testimony will end at 9:00 P... if you're intersted check it out!

Thanks, shawn...good to see you back. :D How are the lunch periods going with your colleagues? Let us know what you think of Plame's testimony. She's one courageous woman and her husband is just as much a hero as she is.

What do you make of this story?

I think it should show the nay-sayers that Valerie was an operative with lots going on. The CIA could easily deny whatever she might write. But instead they say she might be brining up classified info.

Valerie Plame's memoirs can't include length of stay at CIA -- Court rules info still is classified, though it has been publicly reported

Valerie Wilson may be the best known former intelligence operative in recent history, but a federal judge in New York ruled on Wednesday that she was not allowed to say how long she worked for the CIA in the memoir she plans to publish this fall.

Though the fact that Wilson worked for the CIA from 1985 to 2006 has been published in the Congressional Record and elsewhere, the judge, Barbara S. Jones of U.S. District Court in Manhattan, said Wilson was not free to say so.

"The information at issue was properly classified, was never declassified and has not been officially acknowledged by the CIA," Jones wrote.

Plame's book "Fair Game" is still good, despite the redacted parts.

I guess, by virtue of what was NOT redacted, you can infer that the CIA agrees with what Plame was saying. She does mention getting all that operative training.

Considering the evidence that this admin has authorized assassination attempts on 'political enemies'....one could argue that she got off lightly.

Which would not have happened if they did not friends at a covert agency. Some of which may have connections into the 'wet world' of the agency.

Valerie Wilson being interviewed by Jason Leopold of of TruthOut.

In the link there's a two part interview with her.

Valerie Plame Still Wants to Know

Quote:
By Jason Leopold | t r u t h o u t | Report | Tuesday 13 November 2007

Former covert CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson would still like to know the identity of the CIA official who passed her name to the office of Vice President Dick Cheney in the spring of 2003, and "under what circumstances."

That's just one of several unanswered questions Plame Wilson has been trying to figure out in the years since several senior officials in the Bush administration leaked her name to syndicated columnist Robert Novak and a handful of other journalists. That leak ended her two-decade CIA career.
...

The video interview mentions this web site:

Fair Game Plame.
