Christopher Hitchens has reached an endorsement by process of elimination. John McCain, he writes, isn’t up to the job, while “the only public events that have so far featured his absurd choice of running mate have shown her to be a deceiving and unscrupulous woman utterly unversed in any of the needful political discourses but easily trained to utter preposterous lies and to appeal to the basest element of her audience.”

Some how, some way, the two don't mix. I'm referring to McCain/Palin. McCain doesn't know the qualifications when he sees it when making judgment for a V.P. Being his pick for Sarah Palin, proves McCain isn't qualified to come near the White House, meaning being President of the United States. A high school teacher from Mt. View, Arkansas has a better chance of being a V.P than Sarah Mooseolini. (Hope there's no high school teacher from Mt. View, Ark a member here). If so, I'll be banned for sure.

My view of the Republican party today, they have set the party back one hundred years, which is great.

I hope it is more like 76, as in 1932 when FDR beat Hoover. A hundred years ago, the Repugs were at their most progressive with Teddy Roosevelt in the White House, and they definitely have NOT been set back to being more progressive.

The fact is George Bush was not qualified and he was appointed President ! What in the Wide World of Politics makes you think McCain will not be appointed one way or another. And the difference between Palin and Cheney is minimal. Especially when one considers the force that controls government is the Group of One Thousand that emanates from the CFR.
