Thanks for posting it. I don't understand reporters and these television news show hosts. Have they no sense of personal integrity? Have they no qualms of conscience when they get on the air and DON'T report what they know to be the truth? If they are intellectually cognizant of what the real story should be, I certainly wish some of them would actually go against the grain and tell it once in a while.

Thank the gods for the Net, though, and sites like TVNL.

Much of the time, I find people to be in a dissociative state where they're just "doing their job", and it's those "other people" who are to blame. People want their "piece of the pie", no matter how rotten it is, thus, a sort of "counter-ethos" develops in parallel with the "counter-reality".

The type of intact conscience you're describing has been systematically denigrated as "naiive idealism", which the drones of the corporatocracy have been trained to attack unmercifully. "Yes, in an ideal world 2 +2 = 4, but that's just not realistic."

Neither does it bring in those huge monied contracts for the news hosts.

Is there nothing that is not for sale anymore?

they do that here on local news...it's kind of amusing, but at the same time sickening that the media feels they have to invent some news that people are living in fear. but, eventually, they find the right moron who is willing to get in front of a camera and tell the world how afraid they are.

i rarely watch the news any more, except for the weather. i can get a more accurate news report watching the daily show on the comedy channel, sorry to say, but it's the truth.
