O’Reilly: iPods Are Endangering America

GamePolitics.com caught this gem from the Radio Factor with Bill O’Reilly:

Quote:
I don’t own an iPod. I would never wear an iPod… If this is your primary focus in life - the machines… it’s going to have a staggeringly negative effect, all of this, for America… did you ever talk to these computer geeks? I mean, can you carry on a conversation with them? …I really fear for the United States because, believe me, the jihadists? They’re not playing the video games. They’re killing real people over there.

That really is dumb. It reminds me of that idiot who called the internet "internets" and said its a bunch of clogged tubes. I have an ipod and its awesome, especially because I move around a lot (don't sit still, is what I was trying to say) and I can stick it in my pocket. I don't see how on earth having music with you could ruin the world and the end part about the jihadist was just retarded. I bet O'reilly and Limbaugh smoke crack together when they come up with their show ideas.

According to the people commenting at the link given in the original story, it seems to be common knowledge that BO has ipod links as adverts. Here's one example:

Quote:
BillOReilly.com allows users to click an Apple iPod for information about how to become a “Premium Member” to enjoy audio podcasts, backstage video podcasts, and photos of Bill O’Reilly on your iPod. Also included are links and instructions for adding O’Reilly’s podcasts to Apple’s iTunes. More info: http://www.billoreilly.com/membership.
___Davy JJ.

More comments are at the original link.
