I am just wondering though if it is not just the complicit and compliant media doing their bit to create myth. In this case, the myth of enemies. The state needs enemies so it can wage war. The US is just really a war economy now I think. All of the other stuff has gone overseas.

And the Yellow Journalism MSM that thrives on war too... . What good are newspapers for now , except as lining for bird cages and under cat litter boxes?

Oh, I use newspapers for packing material when I eBay stuff!

I use papers to start fires in my fireplace and recycle it in blue boxes. Read it? What's the point when you can recycle or start fires with it.

All that little print hurts my eyes and reading it hurts my brain. It's the pain of lies upon lies that gets me running for the aasburn. Then I remember my mantra- I don't get headache- I give headaches. Throw it into the pyre or pile, to be recycled as ash, smoke and recycled paper.

Have to get some kind of usefulness from it!

Recycle, use them for packaging, clip out recipes, good letters to the editors, and I use them sometimes for protecting my worktable when I'm doing an art or craft project.

I get my information from the net... :D

If there was one newspaper that told the truth, they would be out of business in no time. If they printed a story that caught everyone's attention and put the government in a bad light, it would almost certainly cost the editor his job or be the direct cause of a demotion. In order for the newspaper to stay in business, they would have to print a retraction and apology. The reporter would most likely be fired and blackballed. I'm talking about some really big story and not the usual garbage.

I know this is OT, but those words remind me of Sen. Durbin having to apologize for speaking the truth on the floor of the Senate.

Sickening...

watched this story on olbermann last night.

3 other rupert murdoch neocon/nazi spin machines were in on this smear as well.

insight magazine.

the new york post.

can't recall the other besides fauxnews.

it was pointed out as well how foxnothing channel attempted a pathetically weak retraction of the story and tghen attempted to pin the leak of the story on a hillary clinton campaign operative who was conspicuosly unamed.

what a bunch of frickin scumbags.

this guy plays the music in the shrill antineocon tones that i just absolutely love to hear.

and the winger agony that inevitably occurs when they get continually exposed by the truth is another sweet thing to watch.

my pleasure.

I guess if I had to say something good has come from this horrible government we are under now, it would be the discovery of courageous, funny, honorable people like Olbermann.

Would rather have a decent government, but Olbermann will not go away even when we finally do get some sense in this country.
