If you've not joined NetFlix, think about doing it. My husband and I have been NetFlix members for a month, and it beats the heck out of pay per view, Starz, HBO, Showtime, etc

Cost: $16.00 a month. If I watch a "pay per view," I've spent $4.00 per movie. I can get much more value through NetFlix...and get the movies I want to see when I want to see them.

We like British programs. Among those we've seen so far, we think the best has been "Bleak House," a movie based on the Charles Dickens classic.

The only issue I have is in the "... when I want to see them" aspect.

I like the fact that I can get the first run movies if I go early enough to the vid store. You have to NetFlix a bit, right?

The account we have allows us to download any movie and watch it instantly if we just can't wait for it to arrive from our que. I've not done that so far, as we get three movies at a time. Right now, there are 25 movies in our que, and I can go in anytime and move any movie to the top.

Our schedules won't allow us to watch movies during the day through the week, but we can devote a couple of hours most nights, and we don't have to make two trips to the video store.

We were talking last night about calling Direct TV and arranging for a new account that eliminates STARZ. We simply don't watch it anymore, so why continue to pay for it?

On edit, there are also so many good books we want to read, and it's nice to know that we can watch a movie at our leisure. We don't get another three movies from the que until we send the others back. We figure we can do all of that in a week's time. So far, it's worked.

Not that I have the ability to use NetFlix, but do they have many documentaries?
