Antidepressants worsened my seizure problems.
My mother had SAD. It is said the 'bright light' treatment helps seasonal depression. She never tried it. What is it, half an hour in front of a bright light in the morning brightens the day, something like that.
Depression is the pits. Apparently meds for depression are too?
I've noticed through the years, that indeed a lack of exercise and sunlight, are the leading reasons of me being dismal. Not only does the winter have shorter days, but people don't get out to exercise as often. So in short, exercise and sunlight, carry a "one two punch," during the winter months.
I lift weights three times a week, and walk/run during the summer months. However, there are times that I may go a week, without exercising. Especially during the winter months. I can feel mood swings within days, if I go without exercising. While sunlight is good, I feel the "dismal effects" much quicker, when I become a temporary couch potato.
lol!! I think that is why Jack Lalanne, was always in a good mood. (and I believe off the camera as well)
Of course eating right, should not be ignored either.
...just don't ask me around the holiday season
