Post subject:  Suitcase-sized Nuclear Devices...

Greetings, Everyone.

Check out this World Net Daily article regarding 'terrorist' suitcase-sized nuclear devices already inside the U.S.

I don't know anything about the author or the publication. I just found the article unsettling.

as i read it, i found that 1. it's most likely another "scare tactic", and 2. the other sublime issue mentioned was the border between the US and Mexico....two favorite right wing issues lately.

first of all, to detonate a nuclear bomb requires alot more than most people realize, and to carry a bomb big enough to do substantial damage in a suitcase is.....well...kind of absurd. you simply don't light the fuse and run. they are much more complex than that. additionally, the life span of certain radioactive material to be used effectively in a nuclear bomb isn't very long unless you have the processing equipment to keep it active.

the writer also mentions numerous groups or gangs who allegedly are in on this big bang plan. now, how many people could actually keep their mouths shut over something like this?

lastly, the mention of entering into the US fro mexico....lately this has been a favorite topic among the right wingers because they want a wall built that would rival the berlin wall to keep the mexicans out. mexicans and arabs are the new group for the right wing to hate lately.

however, IF any radioactive material was brought into the US and used with some kind of bomb, the "panic attack" of most americans would be greater than the initial explosion. americans are spoiled sheltered people and the thought of a "nuclear bomb" would send them running to the therapist in droves.

World Nut Daily is well known for their wingnuttery.

Looking for news there is akin to expecting to see a labor friendly outlook over at The Wall Street Journal.

OR until I hear that CHENEY and ROVE have been moved to their protective bunkers...never mind where George is. That's not important at all, especially if he's out on his bike.

Actually, I saw an interesting article on World Nut Daily the other day at CHCH... it discussed the TriLateral Commission and was quite in depth... I was impressed...

Yes, I can see it now. Snidley Whiplash tip-toes into America carrying his trusty suitcase bomb--and dragging along equipment to process radioactive material to keep it operting. OR, the Bush administration supplies all of the above.
