If you're a member who has trouble using the icons above the message window, look no further for help. Just follow these easy steps:

How to BOLD, ITALICIZE, UNDERLINE:

1. Highlight the text.
2. Click the icon, and the text should post in either bold, italicized, or underlined.

How to post a

1. Highlight the text you wish to quote.

2. Click on EDIT at the top of your page.

3. Click on COPY.

4. Click to place the cursor where you want the quote to go inside the message window.

5. Click on PASTE from EDIT at the top of your page.

6. Highlight the pasted text.

7. Click on QUOTE


How to Post an IMAGE:

1. Choose the image you wish to bring into your message window.

2. RIGHTCLICK on the image.

3. Scroll down to PROPERTIES and LEFTCLICK

4. Highlight the URL address for the image

5. RIGHTCLICK on the highlighted address

6. LEFTCLICK OK

7. Return to message window and put your cursor where you want the image to go.

8. LEFTCLICK on EDIT

9. LEFTCLICK on PASTE

10. The URL address for the image should appear. Highlight the address and then click on IMG. The picture should appear in your message window.

How do you upload an image from your own hard drive ? Please do not say Image Shack.

As far as I can tell, Tut, you do have to have it somewhere on the net to upload it to the site. I use photobucket and picassa for photos online. picassa is the easiest to use.

I have never heard of picassa. I do use photobucket if I really want to post an image, and it does pick it up from my window. But it is a lot of trouble so I don't do it often.

You can always do what I do. If the picture I want to use is on my hard drive only, I first load it to my personal web space. It isn't something that your ISP talks a lot about but with most internet accounts you are allocated a certain amount space on their server. In my case it is 10MB per mail account. With judicious use this can go a long way. Most ISPs provide "web tools" that are pretty much self explanatory. Once the picture is uploaded it is a simple matter of copying the url where the picture is located.

This is how I do my signature. Rather than changing my sig at all the sites I use, I merely change the picture in my web space and the signature is changed everywhere. The url for my banner is http://members.cox.net/aproudliberal/banner.jpg .
