Here's the basic map everyone saw after the election. Very misleading.
Blue States/Red States
It shows states colored based on who won that state from the an electoral college point of view.

Remember if a state is won by a slim margin it still gets colored either red or blue.


But here's a map that shows a truer picture of what the election results were. It's colored in a linear scale. Red and Blue are in direct linear proportion to votes cast. With this system slim majorities are less misleading.
Note that the map is predominantly purple.

I called you on your statistical game playing. The maps bear me out. If you look at the statistical models ,from the site you chose to use, what I've said still holds true. There is no binary cut and dry Red vs Blue. There's mostly purple. Very little pure red or pure blue.

I personally thought that it was a good example of how converting statistics to a graphic can mislead some folks. I was just trying to help you better understand how the GOP Propaganda Machine gets the job done and puts an air of legitimacy on it.

To your credit, many more educated people fall for this sophistry as well. Now don’t get all huffy. I’m not calling you uneducated. I’m just saying that people who have higher college degrees and stuff get sucked in by this bullshit of the “big red map.” The GOP misleads you on purpose. It’s all part of the game plan. Shhh! Do you think liberals pay Annie Coulter or people like Billy O'Reilly?

Now what’s this all about? You seem to be fixated on pornography. You know, putting this calling everyone children and the fixation on pornography together some folks may make the wrong assumptions about your psyche. You may want to work on that a bit. It doesn’t look good when you rant on about these sorts of things. Perhaps you should go back to ranting that everyone is picking on your postings and leave it at that. Leave out the children and the pornography; it’s distasteful.



What is it that makes you draw this fallacious conclusion? It takes more than a run of the mill wingnut to make me angry.
