I have not seen anything about this in the news. I received an e-mail from a friend.
This is our human right to know, but the government and related department
never educate the public, therefore we have to protect ourselves.
Chinese businessmen know consumers do not prefer products made in China, so
they don't show from which country it is made, in most cases.
However, you may now refer to the barcodes on everything you purchase.
If the first 3 digits is 690 through 695 it is made in China.
00 - 13 USA & CANADA
30 - 37 FRANCE
40 - 44 GERMANY
49 JAPAN
50 UK
57 DENMARK
64 FINLAND
76 SWITZERLAND & LIENCHTENSTEIN
628 SAUDI-ARABIEN
629 UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
740-745 CENTRAL AMERICA

ALL 480 CODES ARE MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES

Please inform your family and friends for them to be aware.
Check your groceries that you buy - You may be in for a big surprise.

Israel's super heated economy over the past few years has been due to sales of terrorist related technology. Them being the experts and everything.

As for me..if they won't tell me which country made the product...I'll just buy older, used products.

Besides, everyone knows that almost everything is made in China. Which is a big reason I buy used stuff. I can buy old quality American stuff at good prices without feeling like me n*ts are being chopped off. Yes....we made quality products for a long time. Before the MBA's infiltrated manufacturing and it became more about making it cheap and spending the money on marketing. That and companies being forced to abide by Johnson's "Great Society" etc.

Be Verrrrry careful PT.
Since consumers are trying to boycott items from China, manufacturers are using other methods to deceive and sell their wares.
On the bar code I asked about - the label said Pennsylvania Dutchman (America's favorite mushroom with the bar code
0 71592 00853 Distributed by Giorgio Foods Inc. Below the ingredients: PRODUCT OF CHINA

Here Dee, this may help you. If you look down the page you will see a larger list of bar codes though it is still only a partial list. I did not see the numbers 715 or 866. I'll have to do some browsing and see what I can dig up.

Also, and I quote,

Quote:
Here is a partial list. Remember, it indicates the country that issued the code, NOT THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OF THE PRODUCT.

Here are two links with further details. This is not as cut and dry as it may seem.

Looking at this picture of a twelve digit code. The first refers to the type of code AND manufacturer with the next five. They have purposely made it very obtuse to determine country of origin from UPC codes. Books are moving to a 13 digit ISBN which will conform with new UPC/EAN standards. They all start with 978 or 979 and have nothing to do with country of origin.

Do those in power seriously think that people will buy nonchalantly buy products without even knowing where they were made?

Their kool-aid has a more powerful elixir than the dems and reps embibe in.

Of course those of us who keep our eyes open know that the master plan is a world government ruled by banksters. I don't think they can control that.

If they plan on a major population reduction, I don't think they can control that either.

I don't think they want anyone to know exactly what they
are planning. They want us to be unthinking, quiet little sheep
to be led to slaughter.
Cat, are you aware of what is taking place in our schools today?
They want every teacher to get down to the childrens level to
teach and educate their students. Dumbing down is in the mix right now
and people had better become aware of what is taking place.
CE, if I understand the info you supplied - anyone can purchase a bar code?
