I remain amazed at how the Iraqi people are still trying to carry on with some semblance of a normal life, as evidenced by this busload of common, ordinary, everyday people. Pam and I watched every episide of "Over There" on FX. What a great series! It was fiction, but they portrayed the war in Iraq without holding any punches.
One episode concerned just such an incident. It was horrifying. At the checkpoints, these soldiers don't know who the hell is driving toward them. They are constantly scared shitless. If someone is driving toward them erractically, they aren't going to give them a breathalizer, they are going to open fire!
That is why we need to get our people out of that country immediately.
