People ask why one should bother to try and defend freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and free speech on the Internet. They say it won't do any good because they will do what they want to anyway. How quick these people forget that we fought not just 1, but 2 World wars for our freedoms. The price was very very high. We have one day in Canada that these wars and our veterans are remembered. They stay silent all year up until that one day and then the flood gates open. All year long they never mention a thing about truly protecting free speech, freedom of the press and so on. On that one day, the tv comes alive with heroic stories of our troops and how they fought for the freedoms we have today. On that day it "seems" like the media has all of a sudden become very patriot. Where the hell were they all year long? They think it is only important to talk about this one day a year? There is something very wrong with this picture.
