And the bad news concerns the St. Bernard dog, and the Chinese...from a 2001 article...some research might reveal what's going on now, but I just couldn't do it...maybe someone with a lower blood pressure can see to it:

I'll be damned if I'll be eating in anymore Chinese restaurants.

I've also heard they (or one of those Asian countries' people) eat cats...yuck...what disgusting habits.

I hear another method involves starving the dog for a week or so, then serving them a big bowl of steamed rice, after the dog has gorged himself they proceed to cut open the dogs stomach and eat the rice while its still hot. I don't remember if they kill the dog before they cut him open or eat any of his meat. I can't verify, but the sources come from somewhere in Asia.

I believe that in some Asian countries that they still eat dogs. I remember once watching an episode of "China Beach" and some of the nurses were shopping at and outdoor market in Vietnam and they passed by a stand that sold dogs. One of the nurses picked out the dog she liked, and it was then taken out of it's cage and "prepared" for her and handed to her in a paper bag. Before seeing this episode I was unaware that dogs were eaten in other countries. Needless to say, I almost cried when I realized that the practice of eating dogs in other countries was real.

Go down to Tijuana and you could find yourself eating tacos de perrito (Dog tacos). Pick your taco stands with caution.

Hey dog's good meat, don't knock it until you try it. It's only weird and disturbing to you because you grew up knowing them as only "Man's Best Friend" instead of also "Man's Next Meal." Meat's meat, it's meant for eating, especially by carnivores and omnivores like humans.

Meat eaters are never satisfied until they've eaten all their food source, History shows this over and over again. Bucky won't be satisfied until the wasteful practice of eating cattle has been banned and we have to eat our pets, instead of cremating or burying them.

Would you eat horse meat? A horse is similar to a moose, and as our deer and antelopes range is expropriated for the burgeoning population, and we destroy more habitats for all forms of meat to sate our needs, humans will become more attractive as a food source-- all to satisfy some god given right to use the animals for our own needs. Soylent green, purple, orange whatever. Food is food to the savage beast.
