Not sure if you all have heard about the terrible brutality that was inflicted upon one high school girl at a Richmond High dance, but it has been a shock for the community near the areas around here. The story is too shocking to mention. And what's worse is the number of youths that knew what was going on, even saw it, but did nothing about it.

I read about this. I am still shocked at the appalling behavior, CZ.. She was only 15! What is wrong with today's youth who could know this was going on and do nothing about it?

I totally agree. KGO Radio, the local AM news station here, has had many of their talkshow hosts and callers commenting on that. I recorded 12 hours from one particular show because I wanted to hear what people felt.

One caller talked about the different types of rapists. I can't remember all the types (4 supposedly), but a caller mentioned the "sadist". I think that about sums up the punks who engaged in that.

I'm wondering what the psychological term is for those who would watch without trying to stop it. And I sure as hell hope there weren't any young women in the group of watchers (who chose to do nothing).

Thankfully, the arrests are coming around. Although I wonder if they'll catch everyone.

And what about those who watched and will just go on with their lives with that?
