The forms being practiced in schools today are too lenient and should be replaced with corporal punishment. (A form of punishment where the child can be spanked and whipped.)

sigh.

I've read quite a few posts from you where you're just venting about how frustrated, fed up, and angry you are at the unruly children and lack of discipline in the school. You're obviously tired of the crap, and becoming resentful and angry.
I'm sorry for saying that, but that's how it's coming across time and time again.

You are absolutely right. I am so frustrated because I care about these kids. I care that they LEARN. I want them to be able to read and write. I want them to be successful. I see GOOD teachers leave the profession everyday because of the lack of discipline.

We didn't get a degree to work in a zoo.

"Corporal punishment is the deliberate infliction of pain intended to correct behavior or to punish. Historically speaking, most punishments, whether in judicial, domestic, or educational settings, were corporal in basis.
In the modern world, corporal punishment has been largely rejected in favor of other disciplinary methods. Modern judiciaries often favor fines or incarceration, whilst modern school discipline generally avoids physical correction altogether. Although corporal punishment is still used in many domestic settings, it has been banned in seventeen countries. There has been much dispute in recent years over where the line should be drawn between corporal punishment and torture, or whether a line should indeed be drawn at all."

I think you missed the last part:

"There has been much dispute in recent years over where the line should be drawn between corporal punishment and torture, or whether a line should indeed be drawn at all."

And if you can't figure out where that line is you are plain stupid. I spanked my kids but I NEVER tortured them. I spanked them when they were small and I didn't have to spank them later. All I had to do was give them the "look".

People wait until a kid is 13 then decide they must have screwed up so they begin to punish. IT"S TOO LATE.

Please don't have kids. If you do, send them to a private school. Please.

If I ever have kids they'll never fear me enough that a "look" would scare them.

And what?...People can't properly control kids without hitting them?...Or is that just you?

I don't hit kids. I discipline them. There is a HUGE difference.

People don't discipline anymore. That is why kids are doing the things they are doing. Robbing and beating up old people. Vandelizing other people's property. ETC.

You have had to be in public before and witness the mother at her wits end while her child running and screaming. All she did was say, "Now Jonny, stop we don't do things like that." All the while he keeps running and screaming and doing just what he wants to do.

To you, maybe. Do you think the child is that smart?

Well if I thought that crying and screaming would get me everything I wanted don't think for one minute I wouldn't be laying out in the mall crying and screaming. It would get me locked up because I am an adult. But, kids know just what buttons to push and how to get what they want.

Don't ever doubt for one minute the intelligence of kids. Do you believe they aren't? Do you have kids?

If you tell a cop that you hit your husband, or vice versa, you'd be taken to jail. Period.
Kids deserve the same respect and rights.

LOL A woman who works for my dad has a teen daughter who keeps running away. The police brought her home for the umteenth time and told the mother she needed to "spank" her. The cop stood there in her living room and told the girl that if she called the police after receiving a much needed whipping they would NOT respond to the call.

Even the cops are getting sick of kids who will not obey.

LOL! What a FUNNY story Sadie!

Cops, like us, have different views on things. Obviously this cop supports violence against children.

Over time, things have changed for good reasons.
There's always some people who can't seem to get bad ideas out of their small brains.

You're right, that's not violence.

Way to prove your point.
