A heart-rending report/story, but if it makes us be more careful when we're backing up our vehicles, it's worth reading.
I'm always checking under and around my vehicle because I have cats that don't particularly pay attention to car movement. One especially will flop down right in front of a tire.

It's just a habit that I have developed over time. If young children were on the premises, I don't think I'd move my car before I was sure they were accounted for. But how many of us have tried to manage things like these families did, and still the unthinkable occurred?
