I'm beginning to think that anything made in China should be on that list.

Man! Remember when Made in the USA meant something.

Now look at the problem with stuff that is "made in China".

Not denegrating the people, but whatever causes such a crappy system where lead poisoning and ecoli is an issue.

What happened to "made in Japan?" That used to be the lowest quality stuff you could buy. Now just about everything in America is "made in China" and it's even lower quality.

What happened is that Japanese consumers refused to settle for second best and some very clever and smart marketing types realized that there was more money to be made producing a product superior to all others, especially the US's.

I worked in the semiconductor industry in the 80's when memory chips went from being almost exclusively US made to almost exclusively Japanese. We did a study on the Japanese product and it was superior but there was a gotcha. Only the product sold in the US was superior, the Japanese had "cherry picked" the best for sale in the US, their run of the mill product was the same as ours but kept only for the domestic Japanese market.

US memory manufacturers never recovered any significant market share since. With exclusivity, the Japanese could charge whatever they wanted, and made and continue to make tons of cash. The problem with China is that these are American companies using Chinese slave labor and their only impetus is profit and quality if ever an issue it is very minor in comparison.

Yes, what you are talking about is the unholy alliance of corporations and government. The Japanese have been using such fascist tactics to dominate world trade for years. Now, the Chinese have copied the Japanese model, with the added force of a virtual slave force which numbers in the hundreds of millions.

This is the ultimate dream of fascism. The subjugation of an entire population as cannon fodder for the advancement of the corporate/state. Benito Mussolini could not have drawn it up any better.

Sixty years after the supposed destruction of fascism, the global corporate/state march of fascism is taking over the world.

The next twenty years will not be pretty.

I give it 10 years before ugliness becomes obvious to the sheeple. By then the reflexive reaction will be too little too late! Democracy is coming to the USA (L.Cohen) Written to make obvious that fascism has always been with America.

More recently, millions of the "Aqua Dots" toy beads were recalled and the Chinese government confirmed they contained a substance that can turn into a "date-rape" drug after ingestion.
Wow, doesn't that sound wonderful! Toys for tots with sexual innuendo's and hidden secrets. MMMMMmmmmm tasty little dots!
