To learn about the CIA and media I strongly recommend the amazing site run by John Simkin called Spartacus and Education Forum which discusses the threads on Spartacus.

Check out this thread on Ben Bradlee of the washington post. BE SURE AND READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE THREAD AS THERE ARE EXCERTPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT ARTICLE AND BOOKS AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH THREAD.

After that click on the thread about Mary Pinchot Meyer! Wow, some kind of woman! There is a new movie called Lost Light coming out about her in about ten months. After reading this thread, you will wonder why this is the first one!

Click around and explore this site. Its the best ive ever seen on the Cold War, intellignce history, and the media.

Watch your step @ the Education Forum. Simkin doesn't really bother to run it the way an administrator should, and the subsequent overrun of disinformation artists has been stunning. However Spartacus is useful as an encyclopedia.

Glass: not sure I understand what you mean. Its true that there are netlesome quarles and deliberate disinfo types. But there is also some
of the best informed commentary anywhere on earth.

Simkin usually runs it with leniancy having confidence that good info will chase out the bad.

I still think this is among the best sites I have ever seen.

80% of the posts are of high quality, and 30% are of very very high quality.

I dont think you will find better than that anywhere on the internet.

It has also attracted its share of professional disinfo. Testimony, that.
