I understand CNN is showing a documentary Sunday night that focuses on Bush the First's WW2 experiences. It's entitled "Flyboy" or "Flyboys." Now, this really sticks in my craw! Why him? Why now? It's almost as though CNN wants to put in a plug to help GWB's ratings in the polls or perhaps even help him win re-election. Is this a "Focus on Dad so the son won't look so bad" kind of choice? CNN could've chosen any number of Americans who fought in that war but they go and choose Bush the First. How about Richard Ira Bong, the top American Ace who shot down more planes than any other fighter pilot? How about Ernie Pyle, America's greatest frontline news reporter who was killed in April, 1945? How about a story on women in WW2? I will say this...I sure as heck won't be watching CNN"s "Flyboy" story Sunday night.
