PUT A LITTLE REMINDER IN YOUR VEHICLE!!!!

NO GAS...On May 15th 2007
Body: Don't pump gas on May 15th
Body: .in April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in
protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon
overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are urged not to go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most
places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys
pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May
15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for
at least one day.

If you agree (which I can't see why you wouldn't) resend this to all your
contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"

What the heck, it can't hurt to try

Why not make it a "Don't drive your car" day and a "Use public transit/bicycle to work" day as well. Have about 2 or 3 a month like this. Get people conditioned to think outside their cars and become part of the solution. People should plan the use of their cars carefully and minimize their trips to essential and well planned for efficiency of routes taken and jobs performed. Walking won't kill you but driving just might end up doing that.

If we keep wasting the gas and oil that's left, eventually even our military will run out of gas. And we know what happened to Germany when the Middle east gas ran out during WW 2. The world may put an embargo on our misuse/overuse some day soon too!

Make sure there are plenty of people standing on streetcorners and gas stations with signs, pointing at people in cars and trucks and shaming them, like most cultures do when someone shames the community. Bring back pilloring for offenders and throw rotten tomatos at them. Make public displays out of those who would harm the earth, including the oil industry elites, despite the overwhelming proof of impending global disaster due to accelerated climate change.

Make this more important than money- make it an issue of life or death for our species as well as our country!!!.

Shame works wonders on the braindead individuals in our society. Truth will be the instrument to change a potential panic situation into a concerted effort for solution. There's safety and strength in numbers and we have that!!

Nice article DO'Gs

My husband said we should all band together and boycott one station all together for a month.

Then another one the next month. It possibly could start a gas war and we could let them hang themselves.

Shell and BP are the biggest to start with. Especially BP. I have the feeling they are in cahoots with the Bush refineries from the get go.

I only buy my gas from Citgo. I prefer sending the profits from my gas purchases to build hospitals, schools, ect. for the people of Venezuela, as opposed to buying gas from oil that funds the gawd awful Saudi Arabian regime.

15 of the 19 suicide assholes who took down the WTC were Saudis.

0 of the 19 suicide assholes who took down the WTC were Venezuelans..

Rather than make a futile, one day protest against the Exxons, and Shells, why not make a permanent commitment to boycott every gas distributor other than Citgo.

I remember during the first "Oil crisis" of 1974 there was movement called "The Hell with Shell." It was felt the only way to be effective was to have a single company feel the pain. I can count one hand the number of times I have bought Shell gas since then.

Before the election I wrote a piece on Priming the Pump at http://aproudliberal.blogspot.com/2006/10/priming-pump.html or http://tvnewslies.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=5154&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=. The current rise in price had NO corresponding rise in crude prices. If this is truly a time of war then this is war profiteering. Truman made no bones about it, war profiteering is treason.

I have resided in Arizona, northern California and southern California. Using public transportation or buying from CITGO were not and are not options in these locales. So, I continue with "The Hell with Shell" and will join the no gas on the 15th effort. My one additional thought would be that until prices drop to the not unreasonable level of $2.00 that we continue not to pump on a 15th.

Agree with Proud Liberal, make the 15th of each month a.. "Don't
Buy Gas" day for all Americans...

I'm on the same page as Shoeless, my automobile only stops at CITGO stations.. I rather see my money in the pockets of some hard working Latin American, than the scum bags ruled my the likes of Dickless Cheney's.

Now, if we could get the news media barking about.."no gas day" on the 15th, we would mount a trend towards a monthly boycott.

I don't have a vehicle, but am a continous loudspeaker for CITGO. I am worried though, that now that Venezuela has taken back it's oil and there are rumblings of not allowing some companies to continue to take oil at the expense of native Venezualians, what will our War President do next?

I am sure the CIA is already after Chavez. They ousted him once, they will do what they can to do away with him so he can't come back again.

I am sure of it.

Meanwhile, I am sending DO NOT BUY GAS ON THE 15TH TO EVERYONE!!! Thank you, King Fisher!
