It seems the story they tell us in school has a purpose and is intentional. The history we are taught has very little to do with what really happened. Our forefathers were rich merchant land owners who were more interested in acquiring wealth and setting up a system based on land acquisition than setting up a system based on the Greek idea of Democracy, the "Demos", or people. Mind you, in Ancient Greece there were only 5% who voted, the rest were slaves, and the men got together to discuss politics, as their daily chore. Work was shunned by the land owners and was the purpose of having slaves. Sounds like 1776.
The content and purpose of the Constitution was meant to exclude the people from the selection process and items like the "Electoral College" were put in place to override such things as the Peoples Choice or Sentiment. In fact 21 out of 55 framers wanted some form of monarchy!
Who were these people who established the Myth of Democracy in America? Who ratified the constitution after it was completed? What were their goals? What about slavery? Who did they exclude and who did they favor?
