● 2002 - John Walker Lindh, the so-called ''American Taliban,'' received a 20-year sentence after a sobbing, halting plea for forgiveness before a federal judge in Alexandria, VA.

Now that's somebody that has been almost completely forgotten.

I find it even more interesting that now it as become apparent that our efforts in Afghanistan are beyond salvage, Senate Majority Leader Frist (“I can diagnose via video”) has called for the inclusion of Taliban into the government of Afghanistan. The reason we lost the war there was because we had to go invade a country totally unrelated to the attacks of 9-11. Score one again for President Chucklenuts.

Now that we can tolerate and accept the Taliban isn’t time to release Lindh?
