While he was this nation's Vice President, we more or less had to permit Dick Cheney the platform from which to give voice to his delusions, his paranoia, his manipulation, his willingness to do the primary job of the terrorist for him - to scare the Slasher-Movie part of the population.

Well he earns no platform any more.

And for the Vice President to deliberately undermine a 17-day old new Administration, in an interview with Politico, earns him the kind of old-fashioned flagellation provided by a Special Comment tonight.

Or if you want you could call it Enhanced Commentary.

I have decided that Cheney no longer deserves the moniker "Darth," because even Darth Vader finally redeems himself before joining "the Force" with his death. This DICK will do no such thing until he dies what is hopefully a long drawn out painful death.

I was hoping old Dick would disappear into the Wyoming hinterlands with his Halliburton money and his huge government pension. When I read that he was staying in VA, I figured he'd be spouting his big mouth off as often as someone would put a microphone in front of it. Unfortunately, he'll be around for awhile if his doctors can manage it, and they seem dedicated to doing just that.

I agree with Cats assessment. Darth Vadar retained a conscious, a spark of goodness.

Cheney is 100% committed to serving the emperors.

My bet is that the bushbarians are afraid that the wrld may discover that Gitmo was little more than a modern day witch hunt. Victims were often there because of "he said, she said" type accusations.

SEEMS TO ME CHENEY HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO BE THE EMPEROR BEHIND THE THRONE. Pick a dummy for Emperor, and his handlers have a lot more power and authority. That's what Cheney had as Bush's VP. He's a mean, nasty, hateful old man and he knows that the only way he will remain relevant is to keep the fear fires stoked.
