As of May 18th, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began probing General Michael Moseley, the highest ranking officer in the US Air Force along with his predecessor, General John Jumper, for their malfeasance in the handling of a nearly $50 million contract for the Thunderbirds precision flying team. They apparently helped steer the contract to one of their cronies, General Hal Hornburg. If you thought that the Joint Chiefs of Staff might somehow be exempt from the widespread smarm and swindling wrought by this blighted administration...think again.

This is going to get good in a hurry...just in time for Lewis' reelection bid for the November vote.
Another former aide to "Black Death" Jack Abramoff has pleaded guilty. Roger Stillwell, desk officer for the Mariana Islands at the US Department of the Interior, was charged with false certification. (You may also recall that Gale Norton, Secretary of the Interior, resigned very recently; you may be sure that this had a great deal to do with it.) This is a very special--and very ominous!--development in that it marks the first time the White House has been implicated in the Abramoff misdeeds. It must be kept in mind that he was a president of the College Republicans and maintained a strictly partisan policy in his dealings. In fact, his stated goal was "to remove Democrats from power permanently." So whenever you hear that this is a scandal involving both sides of the aisle--and you must certainly HAVE heard it by now!--remember it's a flat-out lie because the cheap-labor conservatives are frantically desperate to get out from under the weight of this all-consuming investigation. The GOP is going to lie, they're going to distort and they're going to propagandize; they're guilty as sin and they know it.
Speaking of pleading guilty, another of diseased Tommy DeLay's cronies did it back in March. Tony Rudy, former deputy chief-of-staff, admitted conspiring with--you guessed it!--"Black" Jack Abramoff. before this thing is all over, there might not be a single member of DeLay's team still loose!
Remember Bernard Kerik, the bluff, blustering turkey appointed by President Loser to head up the Department of Homeland Security before all the feces hit the fan? Well, Big Bernie was arrested and booked for accepting bribes. He faced a possible felony indictment, but chose to chicken out and plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges which will require him to pay almost a quarter of a million dollars in fines. What a stinking slime-sucker...
