That was broadcast on the faux news' pillar of truth's show... you know... bilbo oreally...

Maybe this is just my take on this blatant attempt to fool the sheeple, but doesn't Foley look a tiny bit like Bill Clinton in that photo? More spoon-feeding of the poisoned kool-aid to those who open their mouths W I D E and say yum-yum as they swallow Faux bullshit whole!

I think you're right, catherine... cuz he does look like he's lost quite a bit of weight in that photo...

Got Photoshop?

Catherine, you are so right!

Thank you shoeless for bringing out Reynolds was hiding behind children in that press conference. I guess what was said earlier is true, Rs don't mind giving their children to--well, you know.

And thank you Angel of Mercy for that Fox freeze frame--touched up as it is. Those bright red letters saying 'Foley (D) Florida' makes me so sure Fox was right in 2000 when it declared Florida for Bush!

And I thought I was the one that needed the tinfoil headgear!

It's Foley all right...admittedly a bad picture and probably a fast screen grab. Not that the rightwad liars are above ANY filthy trick, but I really don't think there's enough time in TV production for them to be tampering with photos merely to emphasize a chance resemblance.

dori: It was a fraud when Faux News called the 2000 election for GWB. I refer you to the excellent Robert Greenwald documentary "Unprecedented," which may even be available at a local library for FREE.

I meant the touch up was for the picture, not of Foley himself. I would be willing to bet that 'Foley (D)' is making the way around the internet(s) as we speak.

I have made a note of that documentary, Angel, and will have someone look into it for me. Thank you.

dori: Oh, I'm SURE it's making the rounds of the knuckle-draggers and troglodytes! Some of the people, er, sheeple can be fooled ALL of the time. Of course, the rightwads NEED to fool people because the truth and the facts do not serve thair agenda...

May I also recommend the other stuff that Robert Greenwald has been doing lately? He's a national treasure...like Michael Moore only not as funny. (Btw, MM has a new film coming out next year!)

Outfoxed Book AND film!
Uncovered
Unconstitutional
Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price
Iraq For Sale

He's a good, good man and his films are powerful. He will make you angry and he will make you think...

Link network is having their fundraising this week. I think the WalMart DVD is one of their gifts. Greenwald gets their stamp of approval and that is high praise.

Will keep my eyes open for chances to see his work.

That's the primary reason for my unwillingness to debate with the knuckle dragging methane breathers anymore... they are incapable of reason... so why bother?

obtw... consider this a bump... we need to keep this topic on top...

saw a good one the other day...

GOP = GUILTY OLD PARTY

and believe it or not, the host of the show it was on is a republican...

are they wising up????

doubt it... see above...

Stripey: Appreciate the bump, Big Cat! "Guilty Old Party" is right on the money. Yes, people ARE beginnimng to get the message...

More Republican Dirtbags!!

As of May 18th, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began probing General Michael Moseley, the highest ranking officer in the US Air Force along with his predecessor, General John Jumper, for their malfeasance in the handling of a nearly $50 million contract for the Thunderbirds precision flying team. They apparently helped steer the contract to one of their cronies, General Hal Hornburg. If you thought that the Joint Chiefs of Staff might somehow be exempt from the widespread smarm and swindling wrought by this blighted administration...think again.

It took a while after the downfall of Representative Randy "Duke" Cunningham, but the spotlight of justice is finally focussing upon
his fellow Californian, Rep. Jerry Lewis, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. Subpoenas have already been issued by the US Attorney's office in Los Angeles. His connections to Brent Wilkes and former Rep. Bill Lowery--now a lobbyist--are going to be examined in light of millions of dollars in earmarks for fiendishly expensive Pentagon weapons systems. This is going to get good in a hurry...just in time for Lewis' reelection bid for the November vote.

Another former aide to "Black Death" Jack Abramoff has pleaded guilty. Roger Stillwell, desk officer for the Mariana Islands at the US Department of the Interior, was charged with false certification. (You may also recall that Gale Norton, Secretary of the Interior, resigned very recently; you may be sure that this had a great deal to do with it.) This is a very special--and very ominous!--development in that it marks the first time the White House has been implicated in the Abramoff misdeeds. It must be kept in mind that he was a president of the College Republicans and maintained a strictly partisan policy in his dealings. In fact, his stated goal was "to remove Democrats from power permanently." So whenever you hear that this is a scandal involving both sides of the aisle--and you must certainly HAVE heard it by now!--remember it's a flat-out lie because the cheap-labor conservatives are frantically desperate to get out from under the weight of this all-consuming investigation. The GOP is going to lie, they're going to distort and they're going to propagandize; they're guilty as sin and they know it.

Speaking of pleading guilty, another of diseased Tommy DeLay's cronies did it back in March. Tony Rudy, former deputy chief-of-staff, admitted conspiring with--you guessed it!--"Black" Jack Abramoff. before this thing is all over, there might not be a single member of DeLay's team still loose!

Remember Bernard Kerik, the bluff, blustering turkey appointed by President Loser to head up the Department of Homeland Security before all the feces hit the fan? Well, Big Bernie was arrested and booked for accepting bribes. He faced a possible felony indictment, but chose to chicken out and plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges which will require him to pay almost a quarter of a million dollars in fines. What a stinking slime-sucker...

And, in the most corrupt Republican state in the union, four people
pleaded no contest in an Ohio ethics case. Lucas County Commissioner Maggie Thurber, Toledo councilwoman Betty Schultz, former Toledo Mayor Donna Owens and former Ohio Representative are the bad broads who were fined for failure to report political gifts.

Every now and again, I come across an article that just seems to NAIL some quintessential Republican hypocrisy for me...and I'm not even looking for this stuff anymore! it's just so pervasive, so ubiquitous that there's no getting away from it.

Oh, we could talk about Junkie Limbaugh and what he was doing coming back from the Dominican Republic with Viagra. (http://cannonfire.blogspot.com/2006/06/why-did-rush-limbaugh-visit-epicenter.html) ; The Dominican Republic, in case you're unaware of it, it the latest "hot spot" for for men seeking sex with children. Yes. Tourist bureaus in both Germany and America are advertising it as the "New Thailand."

So why--EXACTLY--did he 1.) take Viagra down with him or 2.) did he need to pick some up while he was there, eh?

Somebody is trying to tell us all "The Truth About George W. Bush" right here: http://bushssecretlifein84.tripod.com It's all about an adulterous, bi-sexual relationship between the White House halfwit, Victor Ashe and a 41-year-old woman currently residing in Las Vegas. I submit it here without comment: You REALLY need to read this.

There was a Pensacola, Florida evangelist arrested and indicted on 58 charges that include income tax evasion, making threats against investigators and filing false complaints against Internal Revenue Service agents. His name is Kent Hovind and he operated a--get this!--creationist roadside attraction called Dinosaur Adventure Land. Loony Toon. (http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060713/NEWS01/60713013)

But the capper is the civil trial, which began this past week, of rightwad pundit John Fund. This maggot is accused of abusing a former girlfriend...who just happens to be the daughter of ANOTHER former girlfriend. Keep an eye on this. It's going to get good in a hurry... (http://www.americanpolitics.com/20060712Editors.html)

Good links, and good information, AOM...as usual!

Shockeroos, one after another  ...reminds me of what was found out about the material and sexual excesses of those within the docket at Nuremburg after WW2.

I say it again. I lived through the rise and empire of Hitler, and I see so many similarities with this administration.

Thank you AOM for the added info. Will follow the links to see what our country is dealing with again, or is that yet.

ON EDIT: WOW!

I knew there were too many homosexuals around the White House for it to be a coincedence. Amazing, the party of family values indeed!

Party of Family Values?

they sure are good at shoving their values down other peoples' throats, but when it comes to actually following their own preaching... they take a pass...

Catherine and dori: Thank you both very, very much. There's such a cascade of stuff coming out now that I simply can't keep up with all of it. I've just GOTTA sit down soon and organize my notes...

Stripey: On the money as per usual...
