Y'know, dori, this whole business would be high comedy...if these nosy parkers weren't so all-fired serious about RUNNING EVERYBODY ELSE'S LIFE!!! They are the most intolerant, hate-saturated, narrow-minded human beings on the face of the planet...yet they want to tell YOU who to fall in love with, what to say, what to think and how to conduct YOUR sex life. Their own house is in shambles, gone to rack and ruin, but still they want control over yours. I have nothing but the utmost contempt for sanctimonious, holier-than-thou Pharisees. It would be hysterically funny if they weren't so fanatic about it.

They are demented, sick people and they are in NO WAY representative of the God they claim to worship. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds...

Pharisees? Oh, yes. The very people Jesus said NOT to be like, not to practice their values. And we have had Pharisees running everything in our government.

Pharisees. Separated ones. Pretensions to superior sanctity. And you have given us page after page of these 'separated ones' with their 'pretensions to superior sanctity' diving into the sewer of human behavior--and you have so much more still on your desk. You are a scientist tracking the e. coli of human existance.

I have been trying to look at the Rs as an exercise in high comedy and they would be if they were not so destructive. They have torn down America in every way--financially, our standing in the world, our reputation, our ability to get along with each other, the list goes on and on. There is nothing so sacred they cannot rip it apart.

Without the computer, without people such as yourself citing example after example of what these people actually stand for rather than what they SAY they stand for, we don't have a true picture of who they actually are.

They stand for hypocrisy, they ARE hypocrites!

Hi, everybody! Happy 007!!

Image

Hope your holidays were the best EVER. Now back to our regularly scheduled GOP pervert programming...
,
Can somebody tell me what it is with these sick, rightwad preachers? Maybe it's just something in the water in Colorado, but Christopher Beard, an executive staff member at Ted Haggard's New Life Church has resigned after admitting to unspecified "decisions displaying poor judgement and one incident of sexual misconduct." The NLC board would not elaborate saying that the incident did not involve Haggard or a minor. (That's all well and good...but did it involve a Great Dane? A pair of galoshes? Several feet of garden hose?? With these reprobates, there's just no telling!) http://www.denvrpost.com/search/ci_4858943

Then there's Paul Williams, a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, who directs prayer programs and special projects ast Bellvue Baptist Church near Memphis. He was forced to take a leave of absence amidst allegations of child abuse: He apparently molested a FAMILY MEMBER some years back. (That's incest, gang, and it's specifically prohibited by the Bible in several places.) http://pageoneq.com/news/2006/sbc122006.html

Get ready for more information than you want about a breaking scandal in the Minerals Management Service of the US Department of the Interior. The TPM Muckraker, who knows better than to trust ANY republicans, is following this one. Supposedly, it involves "potentially improper social ties" between this department and executives at companies vying for contracts. Can you say Sex-For-Oil? http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/002275.php

More to come when I get my notes organized...one of these months...

Bellvue Baptist Church? At least Rev. Williams was in the right ballpark. (No pun intended.)

Pun decidedly intended!

Hope you've been well and happy, dori! I really didn't mean to be away so long...stuff just has a way of piling up. I was negligent in my bloging at Conceptual Guerilla's Strategy & Tactics, too.

One of the consequences of having a stack of disorganized downloads is that I forget what's in it. I meant to include the following in my previous post...but better late than never:

Another Colorado Springer bites The Dust!

Rev. Don Armstrong, rector for Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, is now under investigation for "possible misuse of church money." This one isn't some deranged sex-freak...although he's militantly anti-gay...just your garden variety thief who seems to have forgotten "Thou Shalt Not Steal" is the 8th Commandment. These wretched hypocrites just give me the pip. (http://www.gazette.com/display.php?id=1328414&secid=1)

AM, I am working on trying to clear out years of paperwork. I may have to move away from here and I don't want to get caught doing this stuff at the last minute. I know what surprises can be in stored things, and some of the surprises are good ones!

I gave up years ago on making my New Year's resolution 'get organized'. Some of us just are not made to be organized and I might as well enjoy it.

You just bring us such great stuff, we are glad to see you whenever you are able to come around.

 8)

Big HNY to you, Catherine! And a hearty "Thank You" for adding us to your list of endorsements.

I don't know if you're aware of Conceptual Guerilla who runs that joint, but he's a savvy, razor-sharp lefty idea man. He's the one who coined the term 'cheap-labor conservatives' as a PEFRECT descriptive epithet for them. It evokes all the evil of Wal-Mart and other Big Business bullies who want EVERYTHING. Read his signature essay RIGHT HERE. If that intrigues you, he's got more in the left column of our Home Page listed as "Feature Articles." Just click on the red letters of the titles.

He knocks me out...that's why I'm there!

Dori: Once upon a time, I used to be organized...but these Internets put too many facts at my fingertips and I'm a confirmed information junkie. So I've got just stacks of items that I think I might need as references when blogging or when slamming some rightwad to the mat on a message board. It's gotten out of hand!

Now that I have a desktop at home with a faster connection than my old slow-drag dial-up--the fulfilment of a NY Resolution--I won't have to download so much stuff at the local library and have it all sitting around. When I finally DO get my act together, this tonnage of paper will be done with FOREVER. I've got lots of cool stuff in here. Somewhere...

I am still on dial-up, know what you mean.

And I am salivating at the thought of all those goodies that will be coming our way. That sounds terrible, but these things are being done by people who claim to be superior, and they are superior to NO ONE!

The price of looking down on people is that they may actually find out who you are and then you have to face who you are also. It can be a shock!

Dori: There are getting to be some decent lower-priced High-Speed providers. If you're an AT&T customer, they've hooked up with Yahoo and are offering a package for about $20 a month they can put right on your phone bill. That's only a couple of dollars more per month than I was paying with NetZero...and now I get to watch the videos on Crooks & Liars and all the other cool stuff available on the Net that takes a faster download. I would advise you to shop around. (Also, before long, communities will be offering it like a utility...which it is when you stop to think about it. Those days are not far away.)

New Perverts, Pedophiles and Putrid Persons!

Just to be sure you understand: I need to mention at this point that although every item here is 100% true, the explicit documentation I prefer to use is sometimes lacking. Due to the volume of information that they cover, some newspapers and television stations do not preserve their complete archives on the World Wide Web. It is an arbitrary decision, randomly made and it affects the availability of articles on purely local news items...which most of these are. If I had no life and were sufficiently motivated to do so, I could track down chapter and verse for every single one of these rightwad deviates...but overexposure to their degeneracy is hard for me to take. As it is, I believe I DO provide enough specific dates and details for readers to perform the verification legwork for themselves if they are so inclined. These depravities are all unfortunately true; there is hardly any need for me to make up lies about the already well-researched moral turpitude of the rightwing "moral values" hypocrites.

Reverend T. J. Talbert, pastor of New Birth Ministries in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrendered to police after being charged with two counts of sexual assault against two female parishioners. The scumbag just couldn't resist. (http://www.katv.com/news/stories/0805/250588.html)

Paul Valentine, youth pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery involving a 15-year-old girl. (http://www.wdsu.com/news/3890913/detail.html)

Carson L. Grey, former minister at the Praise Cathedral Church in Erie, Pennsylvania, pleaded "no contest" to corruption of a minor in a plea baargain whose original charges included aggravated indecent assault and indecent exposure. He apparently assaulted the 14-year-old girl behind the church AND in his home in Oct. 2001. His license as a minister has been revoked. (I should think SO! http://www.multiline.com.au/~johnm/ethics/ethcont99.htm Scroll down not quite a quarter of the way to "Pastor pleads no contest to corrupting girl, 14")

C. Stephen Harmon, a 57-year-old former minister of Maineville baptist Church in Ohio, has been indicted on one count of sexual imposition and two counts of gross sexual imposition by a Warren County grand jury for allegedly abusing at least two boys who were connected with the church, one of them a 12-year-old! He was fired when the allegations of sexual misconduct first surfaced. After Harmon was confronted by police, he identified SIX potential victims. He was also found to be in possession of child pornography. A consummate slime. This rotter needs to go to jail FOREVER. (http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/10/02/loc_loc1amin.html)

Antawn McCullum, a youth minister at Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia was charged with one felony count of forcible sodomy and one felony count of taking indecent liberties with a custodial child, a teenager...and a choirboy. THAT is disgusting. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58216-2005Mar22.html)

Russell Winkler, former pastor at Disciples of Christ Church in Republic, Kansas, was convicted in 2002 of sexually abusing six teenage boys--SIX?!?--and now faces a civil lawssuit from one of them. The abuse dates from 1979 to 1981. He is now a registered sex offender in that state. He needs to be sued clear down to his socks! (http://www.reformation.com/CSA/winkler1.htm)

Rev. Joe Nathan Best used to preach about sin and the evils of drugs at El-Bethea Holiness Church in Whiteville, North Carolina. Well, he should know. He sold some cocaine to an undercover agent and, after being caught, fell to the ground and began praying...but the agents found the crack factory in a trailer behind his house anyway. (http://www.wect.com/Global/story.asp?S=3097844)

This last one is sick-making; I am most emphatically not kidding. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Joseph and Evangeline Combs were arrested in November of 1998 after more than a year of investigation by Bristol, Tennessee police detectives. They were charged with the kidnapping, rape and abuse of one Esther Combs.

You see, Combs, a Baptist preacher, and his wife had never legally adopted the girl Esther, whose parents are unknown. Details of how they ended up with the baby girl are sketchy, but we know she was secreted away in South Carolina and Georgia to avoid a hearing to appoint her a guardian. She was given home schooling to keep her isolated from society. Preacher Combs forced the girl to give him oral sex at FIVE YEARS OF AGE while he quoted scripture about King David's concubines...the sick, twisted monster. Evangeline Combs--a full-blown sadist--beat her, cut her, whipped her with hoses, pulled pieces of her flesh off with pliers and often kept her in a cage. This went on for almost 20 years. Can you say "slavery?"

The state medical examiner testified that the girl's 410 visible scars, their layering and location utterly eliminated the possibility of them being either accidental or self-inflicted. The preacher and his wife were sentenced to a combined 179 years for the extended rape and torture of the girl known as Esther Combs. Ick. (http://www.sullivan-county.com/nf0/combs/index.htm)

That's enough for now...

Are all of these wonderful examples of family values supporters of the Republican party, AM?

AM, the only telephone company I have access to is the Rinky Dink company in the nearby hamlet. If I lived three miles east of here, I would have access to Verizon, but no such luck. Believe me, I have searched before...

Can't blame you for not wanting to go any deeper into the cases you post. These are truly sick people. Just the minimum amount of information is all that is needed. You have the links when people want to look any further.

Guess I can see why our country is in such a mess. The people running it are 'running it in their own image'.

Happy 007 to you, Stripey1!Image

Folders, eh? Lemme tell you about folders, Big Cat. I've got so many in my Macintosh desktop that I'm soon going to need a memory upgrade. I've got so many PHYSICAL folders containing computer downloads of stuff that I have filled three typing paper boxes...and I can't find ANYTHING!!

Somehow, I just don't think that's the answer. Thanks for trying, however; I'll sort it out sometime before I die...
