The point is that Iraq did possess weapons of mass destuction 2 years ago, when the Bush Administration was making their point to go to war. If they had WMD's that could be launched to attack us at that point, do you really think that they would have been able to get ALL of those weapons out of the country within the 48 hour timetable that Bush gave them on March 17, 2003?

Where do you get this 48 hour time line. Unless saddam was blind he knew we were coming for years. Remember he was trying to hide his weapons from the U.N. weapons inspectors. That went on for years until he kicked them out of the country in 1999 in violation of U.N. res.686. He literally had about 10 years to hide his weapons. Since we first told him to disarm after his humiliating defeat in 1990. As far as moving ALL his weapons....remember a 5 gallon drum of weaponized Anthrax could kill hundreds of thousands of people....The U.N. weapons inspectors documented that he had much more than that.

Here is the official White House release from March 17, 2003
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases ... 317-7.html

Based on the White House press release, Bush makes it seem as if the threat Iraq posed to the U.S. was iminent. We attacked 48 hours later, and have been there ever since - yesterday our goverment finally admitted to the fact that no WMD's have been found, and there was no proof of their existence.

That's funny, it sounds exactly like what Clinton, Gore and the democrats said before G.W.B. was president. The dems all thought Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. (and he did) If they didn't why did the left side of the isle go along with the war? What makes you think he got rid of his W.M.D?? .....because he told you he did!

Let's look at what happens when you leave Evil men in place and ignore them. I know you remember when the government of Yemen was going to hand Osama Bin Laden( a known terrorist) over to the U.S. but Clinton refused to grab him. I forget what sniveling jargon he used at the time to justify what he did but the fact remained he would not take him.................So we left him in place ......and what happened!!??

MS -

It's been 3 years since 9/11 - and this administration is no closer than they were 3 years ago to catching Osama Bin Laden. In fact, the Iraq war created the perfect distraction. Saddam has been taken out of power, but Osama is still lurking about. - why is that? What is your theory as to why this administration has not been able to capture Osama Bin Laden?

Also, here are two articles about WMD's in Iraq:
