police spokesman."

Under the same-date headline, "Steam Pipe Blast Causes Scare
in NYC," AP reports:

"The NYPD said it does not appear to be terrorism-related."

It? "...a suspected [!] steam explosion...."

Under the same-date headline "NYC Explosion Caused By Steam,
Not Terrorism," the Washington Post reported:

"New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said the
explosion was not related to terrorism";
