Probably because the obvious is so easily over-looked. It is TOO obvious so the mind disregards it.

I agree, sadie...I think that the OBVIOUS has been the bottom line of the Bush administration since Florida of 2000...outrageous, truly unbelievable things won't be believed by the general public. It's been incredibly successful, and I'm willing to bet the farm that it was the brainchild of Karl Rove. Remember, Rove was fired by Daddy Bush, so the shrub picked him up, probably out of rebellion against Daddy and encouraged by Dick Cheney. Add in lots of msm's cooperation with the whole OBVIOUS and there you have it. Bush's behavior is outrageous and he gets away with everything wrong that he does. "He's just being Georgie," John and Jill Q. Public say as they smile indulgently, shrug, and head down to Wal-mart in their SUV.

Cheney has known Karl for years. Bush, Cheney, and Rove are like three bad seeds, evil triplets, Bundy, Gacy, and Chucky working together in seats of power. What could be more lethal? Given the low thinking power of the majority of Americans, what could be more successful? It's worked for 5+ years, and who knows what is planned for the future by these neoconic criminals.
