They are against Michael Moore's movie and calling Bush a hero!

I believe that Bush did the right thing. Why? Because I know personally many, many, many soldiers who went to Iraq and who are my neighbors and my friends and they tell me personally how greatful the IRAQIS are. You never hear those stories do you? YOu never hear about the sheer numbers of Iraqi citizens who constantly come up to our soldiers, give them food from their lunch, who say thank you and who kiss their feet.

My husband was also in Desert Storm and when those Iraqi soldiers surrendered in Mass and were sent to the medical stations in mass, my husband met them there. He was a respiratory therapist at the time. Many of these soldiers had been dragged from their families, forced into foxholes with no food, no bedding, no clothing and were told to fight and kill an American or Saddam would kill their families.

MissC77...Good to have you aboard! Not many of us here yet, but hopefully the numbers will grow...then maybe we can have some real debates! But this site is such a valid and important one, I keep coming back and posting something I think is relevant.

Have you seen Farenheit 9/11? If you have, what is your opinion of it?

Unfortunately, I've not seen it yet but just as soon as I can, I fully intend to do so. AND I'll say here and now that I think Michael Moore is a hero, a very courageous American who is doing what he can to get rid of the monster called Bush.

As to what is being said about the Iraqi people being so grateful for the American presence in their country, what is your opinion of it...true or false? Why or why not?

No I have not seen the movie. I heard it's 3 hours long! As far as the Iraqis being grateful I think it's 50/50 since there are some against Saddam.

I checked my local theatre's listings through August and 9/11 is not on their list of showings.

I shot off an email to them, asking when it was going to be shown at their theatre because I did not want to drive 100 miles just to exercise my Constitutional rights.

No response, yet.

I went to the website you gave, about the KOOKS and Michael Moore, and that site is full of strange people, with a few sensible, cool thinkers thrown into the mix.

Wonder if Robert has ruined his brain listening to Rush Limbaugh and Fox News!

I don't think the majority of the Iraqi people are happy for us to be in their country, mainly because they know they can't trust Bush and his administration. They're not stupid people and they surely see the news reports and hear from relatives in other parts of the world, about the lies Bush has told, his stupidity and lack of conscience, his arrogance, and mostly his REAL reasons for starting this war...oil, to spread Christianity according to Bush, to please his father, and to stroke his own ego. Also, he's a puppet for men like Cheney, Rumsfeld, (where is he lately, by the way????), Karl Rove, and Ashecroft, etc...working in the background, the smoky rooms, so to speak.

Incidentally, I saw this article at the CNN website...Hooray for Linda Ronstadt! Ought to be given a gold freedom medal for courage!

She does needs a medal!!! That took COURAGE and I commend her on telling the truth about Bush! I really think it's all spin from the media! They are trying to get people to think that most people stand beside Bush and the opposite is really the case! Bush will not spend another year in the whitehouse! His days are done!

Yes indeed. My admiration of Linda R. went up tremendously. I hadn't thought of her in a long time. When I was in college back in the 70s, she gave an excellent concert on our campus.

I think she's of Mexican ancestry and is quite fluent in Spanish. Her father is an inventor who made a mint with one of his inventions, a tool of some kind that Sears snatched up and quickly bought the rights to manufacture.

Just trivia but still interesting. Truly, Linda R has a spine as well as talent.

It was a big surprise to know too! Lack of money making ability?? What a LIE! You know that theater shown many movies that bombed at the box office and it was still left there for weeks! The owner of the theater just sides with Bush! We see where he/she stands on the "terrorism" issue!

Another thing that got my back up when I got the response from the manager was my knowledge that the theatre showed Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion of the Christ" for weeks!

What about its political and inflammatory theme? If I'm Jewish or Hindu or Buddhist, I have to know that movie is showing but do I go see it? Probably not, but at least the people who wanted to see it had a choice...go or not go.

This kind of thing really makes me chill...censorship in America over something that isn't sexual...what a hoot. .

If Bush goes back in, it'll only get worse.

You know, I was so wrong in my thinking in 2000, after GWB had been "appointed" the presidency. I thought, ok...he's been cut off at the knees. He lost the popular vote; he's got to feel that he'd better be very careful because the American people will soon see him for what he really is...a nasty little Napoleon wannabe and they'll oust him at the first opportunity. He can't swagger around and get or do what he wants.

Boy, was I wrong! If I believed in spells, I'd swear that the American people were under some kind of spell about GWB...it's as if no matter what he does, he isn't held accountable...not by the media anyway and so many people actually believe he holds conversations with a supernatural being.

My husband says just wait...the people will speak at the polls and it will be loud and clear to Bush...Go Back to Texas and Stay There! I hope so!

Be sure to read this week's TIME Magazine about "Marked Women." The Iraqi women have fewer rights now than they did under Saddam...actually Saddam encouraged women to be all they could be, which I hadn't known before I read that article.

Into voting for Bush! I was DECIEVED! I REALLY thought he stood on the side of morality! Against the Death tax, Marriage Tax, more health care benefits for senior citizens and the poor, anti-abortion, and anti-radical feminist and homosexual marriages. I was WRONG!! He promoted both abortion and homosexualism and increased taxes! I don't know who I am voting for right now. But I do KNOW it will NOT be Bush!

Bush stands for nothing except Bush...he and his handlers are the most ruthless group ever to be in power in America.

I fear for our Constitutional freedoms if they are elected in November...not re-elected, because they weren't elected in 2000, but appointed by the Supreme Court.

Whoever you vote for, I'm glad you've discovered the truth about Bush, but sorry at the same time because you must feel very much betrayed...

definition of a "hero" or the meaning of heroism is propganda dis-info liars,such as Micheal Moore,or Linda Rondstant,then that just goes to show how dummbed down society has sunk,and how little is expected to be rated a "hero."
I wonder if the families of those killed on 9/11 would agree with this hopelessly flawed non-logic?
To deserve being hailed as a "hero"
one must first be Honest,which neither of these two are.
By willingly propping up the "official" frame-up,as to the events of 9/11,and intentionally perpetuating the lie of phony
"Arab hijackers," distorting and omitting the true facts,Moore and
leading cheerleader,Rondstant,have
willingly covered up the known facts surrounding 9/11,leaving those too brain-dead to be bothered with researching the Facts,the

As for Mel Gibson,making the Passion,that is true heroism.
Knowing that the SPIN-DOCTORS would MANUFACTURE unjust,and untrue charges the "MASS-MEDIA" would heap upon the movie,and the massive measures that many undertook to prevent him from making The Passion,Mel Gibson stuck to his
PRINCIPLES,and chose INTEGRITY,rather than popular praise.
He also PAID for making the movie with HIS OWN money.
To me,that's true Heroism.
With all the DISCRIMINATION,going on such as ANTI-CHRISTIAN BASHING,one has to have TRUE COURAGE living by they're PRINCIPLES.

It seems to me that those who proclaim the RIGHT to FREE SPEECH,
and FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION,are HYPOCRITES,when those who have the
RIGHT to,and the COURAGE to do so,
would be SILENCED by the SAME HYPOCRITES who so proclaim the RIGHTS to the SAME,if they don't agree with their narrow-minded and
shallow view of the world.

As to Bush,if you had bothered to read any of my other posts,you would know exactly how I feel about him.
But since you did'nt,I'll tell you,
my position is that niether Bush,nor Kerry,nor anyone holding high public offices today should be considered for president.
As I've outlined elsewhere in other posts,the whole political system has degenerared into a cesspool of
compromise and corruption.
Both "parties" are really only one
"party" with two branches that work toward decieving the population into believing they are opposistes.
Both "parties" do not work for the good of America or Americans.

Because it seems that the rumors are right! When Republicans are in office the economy sinks and masses of jobs are gone! When a Democrat is in office the economy is much better and there are plenty of jobs! Your posts makes no sense because Democrats and Republicans do have different agendas. Better and Worse things has happened under certain presidents.

That movie was heretical, it didnot "align" with Bible scripture! It aligned with the Roman Catholic movement which is the worship of Mary!
