Ever tried grilling romaine lettuce as a side dish for anything else you're grilling, such as chicken or ribs?
It's marvelous...just take a small head of romaine lettuce, drizzle it liberally with olive oil, sprinkle on salt, pepper, and maybe some garlic powder, and any other herb you like, place it on the hot grill and turn it continuously with tongs until you think it's to your liking. It must be served immediately but it tastes great. I grilled up a bunch of it with some chicken, ribs, and grilled some pineapple slices to go with it all...yum!
