I think this photoshopped magazine cover says it all:
You know, it seems to me that the Robertson-Falwell-Et-Al Cabal forget parts of the Bible or don't feel certain parts apply to them. If the Bible is the truth as they say, then surely this part applies to them as well?
Proverbs 6:16-19: There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. If I were them and believed as they do, I would be very concerned that my eternity might not be as heavenly and blissful as I had hoped it would be. But then again, this is Robertson-Falwell-Et-Al Cabal we're talking about. Most of the things listed that the Lord hates they seem to embrace as virtures - or at least it appears that way. As the Yiddish proverb says:
There is nothing new under the sun---and that's why there remains such a mess.
