Anyone out there been following the Larry Franklin situation?

The FBI have found over 80 classified documents at his home. Franklin stands accused of passing sensitive documents regarding Iran to AIPAC (American-Israeli Political Action Committee). The same thing allegedly happened during the run-up to the invasion/occupation of Iraq. The Pentagon Office of Special Plans headed up by Douglas Feith (resigned for "family reasons") was right in the middle of the 'cooked Iraqi INTEL' scandal. Douglas Feith is allegedly one of many rabid 'Israel First' types within the 'federal' government. I have three questions for the panel:

1.) Why does (did) a man/woman with allegiance to a foreign country direct a high-level Department of Defense office within the Pentagon who's actions could have irreversible, negative effects on the lives of citizens of the united States of America?

2.) Why aren't people who are CONVICTED (not accused) of spying against the people of the united States of America promptly executed for their treasonous high crimes as a deterrent against other similar acts (e.g. Jonathan Pollard, et al.)?

3.) Who actually receives the bottom-line 'benefit' when something goes 'BOOM' anywhere on the planet?

Answer that last question, and I suspect that you'll have the 'perp' of all of this wickedness going on in the world today.
