The Art of Invective

Under the headline "MP Does Not Believe in Unity among Principlists" the plain truth is told:

"He [MP Ali Motahhari] says the principlists should enter into an alliance when they have a serious rival like staunch reformists who sought to restructure the Islamic system.

"But the reformists who will be endorsed by the Guardian Council to run for the next election will be 'sensible and harmless' figures [lapdogs] who will not pose any threat to the Islamic system, he added." [1]

Hossein Fadaii is outraged that the plain truth is being told.

So what does he do? He resorts to invective, of course!

"...Hossein Fadaii, the secretary general of the Devotees Society, calls MP Ali Motahhari an inexperienced person who lacks political experience and whose understanding of issues is illusory rather than realistic.

"In response to Motahhari’s recent remarks about the function of Majlis [a lie will do!], Fadayii says,

[a] 'When you talk to him you will see that his words are contrary to his intentions' and,

[b] through his statements, he has provided the enemies with an opportunity to push ahead with their propaganda campaign.

"Fadayii indirectly suggested that Motahhari is not the right person to carry out political activities. He said, 'Some persons are fit for special jobs. Some are fit for executive jobs but not for approving legislation, while others are not fit for taking political positions.'" [2]

So there!

Leaving Fadayii aside for the moment, what's this about a Devotees Society?

Let's check with Wikipedia:

"The Society of Devotees of the Islamic a legally existent, conservative Iranian political party....

It is informally referred to as the Isargaran, a word which connotes altruism in Persian....

It is one of the most powerful and least discussed movements in Iran.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was a founding member...." [3]

Back to Fadayii:

Ahmadinejad Aide Accused of Seeking U.S. Contacts, Shargh Says
May 19, 2011 2:32 AM PT ... -says.html

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s closest political aide was accused by a group that backs Iran’s supreme leader of trying to establish contacts with the U.S. and its intelligence services, the Shargh newspaper reported.

The latest accusations against Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, a relative of Ahmadinejad, were made by Hossein Fadaei, head of the Society of Islamic Revolution Devotees, according to the Tehran-based newspaper. A “current of deviation” now exists in Iran that is aimed at controlling key posts in the economy and changing anyone who refuses to submit to it, the privately owned Shargh cited Fadaei as saying.

Note the above wording "key posts in the economy." That may explain the wording "Some are fit for executive jobs" in Fadaei's invective.

Moving on to the real --POLITICAL-- deviation:

"Five MPs summoned Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to the Majlis in order to question him about the inaction of the Foreign Ministry towards Islamic awakening in regional countries." [4]

Among the five: Ali Motahhari, the one who speaks the plain truth.

Actually, Salesi's very active--

He's buddying up to Superpower puppet Afghanistan

He's buddying up to Superpower puppet Iraq

He's buddying up to Superpower puppet Pakistan.

This buddying up serves the policy of:

Iranian expansion rather than the policy of Islamic revolution

Iranian detente with The Superpower rather than the policy of Islamic revolution

Iranian peaceful coexistence with Superpower puppet Israel rather than the policy of Islamic revolution.

What else does such a policy dictate?

Buddying up to The Superpower's NATO followers by claiming their puppet counter-revolutionaries in Libya are part of the Islamic Awakening.

Was Ahmedinejad really a founding member of the Devotees?

"89. Jam`iyat-e Isargaran-e Enqelab-e Eslami (Society of Devotees of the Islamic Revolution), 26/07/1999;

"Davood Danesh-jafari, Hossein Fadaie, Ali Yussefpour, Abdolhussein Ruholamin, Ali Darabi, Asghar Sabouri, Mojtaba Shakeri, Ahmadali Moqimi" ... rties.html

RFE/RL claims he is.

The original of that article by "Bill Samii" is the article by Abbas William Samii, regional analysis coordinator for Southwest Asia and the Middle East at Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty, at: ... y_poli.htm

which is one source for the Wikipedia item.

Wiki lists the Society's Ideology as Islamism, Conservatism,
Populism, Neofundamentalism. DUH!
