Wakening Pseudo-Saints

Farhangi is a member of the presiding board of Iran's parliament, the Majlis. He is is a backer of Ahmadinejad.

Backing Ahmedinejad means backing Salehi, his foreign minister.

Backing Salehi means backing the faction that imagines it's a good idea to buddy up to The Superpower's puppets.

With that in mind it's no surprise that Farhangi is claiming Ali Motohari won't pursue the plan to question Ahmedinejad in Iran's parliament.

So Motohari tells Khabar Online the truth:

"It's not true. The Majlis presiding board simply requested us to halt the process temporarily to provide an appropriate mechanism for implementing the question plan.

"It's due to

[1] the multiplicity of the [parts of the] plan and

[2] the way of addressing them [the parts] to various Majlis commissions.

We accepted the request and are currently waiting to see what measure the presiding board will introduce."

Will Farhangi try to get the presiding board to dump the question plan?

Motohari:

"...it's better for Mr. Farlanhi to focus on his duties in the presiding board including the enforcement of Majlis procedural guidelines rather than being involved in such affairs."

Such affairs?

"Due to the efforts made by Mr. Farhangi, a number of MPs who thought he reflects the view of the presiding board, removed their signatures from the petition [for questioning Ahmedinejad in Iran's parliament]. But the new [Farhangi] measure can be foiled since some of them told me about their misconception.

"Generally it won't have an impact on the entire process because more lawmakers have said they want to join the plan and sign the document.

"However those who have withdrawn their signature have revealed their true character to those who voted for them and [to the] Iranian people in general.

"Some lawmakers who are signatories to the petition believe that the names of those who removed their names should be published but at the moment I disagree with that."

And Motohari did confirm the true import of Ahmedinejad's "absence from cabinet meetings and his office...in a clear protest to the reinstatement of his Minister of Intelligence Heydar Moslehi by the leader of the Islamic Revolution...."

See for your self:

Questioning President act will proceed: Mottahari

Motahari, son of Ayatollah Morteza Motahari, represents Tehran in parliament.
