Danske Bank A/S, Denmark’s largest lender, will also trim 2,000 posts.
Barclays Plc Chief Executive Officer Robert Diamond said yesterday the London-based bank had eliminated 3,500 positions this year and that the trend will continue.

The suspect receives credit from the courts for admitting the offences and avoids being prosecuted for them later on.
For police, the benefits are greatly enhanced detection rates.

MPs call for Commons debate on UK's extradition rules

The debate, if agreed, would consider a motion calling for a bill to be introduced in the next
session of Parliament reforming the extradition system.
The reforms would be based on recommendations made by Parliament's Joint Committee on Human Rights earlier this year.
