I'm not sure just what an "ownership society" is, but I can think of a few examples that were/are probably "ownership societies"---
the Aztec and Incan empires--- the South African empire--- the British empire--- Saudi Arabia--- the Ming Dynasty--- the N. Korean regime---
pre WW2 Japan--- Darth Vader's Empire--- France before the revolution---
the pre civil war South/Confederacy--- etc.
